When You Were Fifteen
When You Were Fifteen is a non-fiction piece about troubled teens. It was to send a message to troubled juveniles. Teens that were troubled that ended up in foster care or became runaways or kids that were put in juvenile detention centers.
My poem entailed how I struggled as a teen but still managed to stay out of trouble, and why adults mattered to teens during these times in their life.
The Sparkle In The Grit
The Sparkle In The Grit is a collection of poems from thousands of writers.
I worked with the non-profit organization Write Around Portland. This was my second published works.
